Piano Tuning

A life-long musician and professional trombonist, I was born into a family of musicians, and started out with piano lessons, with all five children lining up for daily practice time slots. Early on, my teacher realized that I had perfect pitch, a real bonus! I can hear the subtleties in piano tuning with my natural ear, rather than relying solely on equipment, allowing for nuanced and individually crafted results. With a master’s in music performance as well as doctoral studies, I enjoy tuning and revoicing pianos for the discerning pianist, as well as for maximum enjoyment for every home, auditorium and church. I enjoy working with people to discover their vision, with a personal goal of exceeding the expectations of each client.

Piano Restoration

A favorite area of specialization is the rebuilding and restoration of pianos. Helping to make each piano sound its very best, JP Fine Tuning Services provides expertise in restringing, installing new hammers, belly work, as well as complete refinishing.

With New England weather challenges, the installation of Piano Life Saver System is a frequently provided service, and for those who have a beautiful instrument but do not play the piano, complete player systems designed according to every client’s taste are a premium installation option.
